ASSESSORS MEETING MINUTES

MARCH 2, 2007

12:30 P.M.  Called meeting to order.  Present:  Paula Keefe, Ellen Abelson,

                    Richard Gorden and Mark Mazur

1. The Board granted a fiscal year 2007 clause 17D exemption to the owner

of Parcel #110-6.

2. The Board took the following actions on fiscal year 2007 Community

Preservation Act (CPA) applications for exemption for the owners of the following parcels:

            Parcel #48-11                          Granted

            Parcel #31-4                            Granted

            Parcel #102-27                        Denied

            Parcel #29-3-1                         Denied

3. The Board read a letter from the state granting the Board’s request for special

permission to abate the real estate taxes for fiscal years 1986, 1987, 1988 and

1991 under the authority of M.G.L. Chapter 58 Section 8 for parcel 115-2-2.

4. Under the authority of M.G.L. Chapter 58 Section 8 the Board granted abatements

for fiscal year 1986, 1987, 1988 and 1991 for parcel 115-2-2.

5. The Board read a notice from the Appellate Tax Board (ATB) that the FY2006

case with the owner of Parcel #82-28 had been decided in the appellants favor.

6. The Board granted a fiscal year 2006 abatement to the owner of parcel #82-28 as

per the recent ATB decision.

7. The Board read a letter from the owner of Tees Plus concerning the denial of his

application for abatement.  After examining the information provided, the Board

decided there was merit to the applicant’s contention.  The Board directed the

Administrative Assessor to investigate ways that an abatement could be granted.

8. The Administrative Assessor discussed his meeting with the Priorities Committee

last night to discuss overlay and new growth estimates.

9. The Board was presented with information concerning the Performance Review

of the Administrative Assessor.

10. The Board read a request by Morse Bros. for a certificate of penalty taxes for

classified land that they are selling.

11. The Board took the following actions on fiscal year 2007 abatement applications
